In 1937. Louisiana Motors was founded in Lafayette, Louisiana by David and Ben Mann’s grandfather, Larry J. Louviere. From the very beginning, Louisiana Motors has set the standard for automobile sales and service in the Acadiana area. In 1985, Louis B. Mann and his wife, Elaine Louviere Mann purchased the dealership from the Louviere family.
In 1991, ready to expand, the Mann family opened Saturn of Lafayette, being the first Saturn retailer in the state of Louisiana. Saturn brought to the Acadiana area a new way of car buying with the same traditional values of the Mann family.
In 2006, Louisiana Motors expanded into New Iberia and now operate Louisiana Motors Cadillac GMC and two Premium Used Car lots (501 W. Admiral Doyle and 6100 Hwy 90W).
Mann Companies was created (2001) to manage the Louisiana Motors and Saturn of Lafayette dealerships. The company strives to maintain the original values and promises the late Mr. Louviere began over seventy years ago. At the helm of this family of dealerships is the late Mr. Louis Mann’s sons Ben Mann, Saturn of Lafayette Retailer, and David Mann, Louisiana Motors Cadillac GMC Dealer.
